    The beneficiaries could have been charities as that would reduce IHT.
    Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.

    He WAS saying that the estate/initial beneficiaries, saved IHT then, by creating additional beneficiaries (people,, not charities)

    Simply not possible. The only change that could reduce IHT would be a DoV that transferred more assets to a spouse, which would’ve exempt.
