Should I be trying to claim?

Hi, very late to the PPI party here!

I've had various credit cards and loans/mortgages in the last 25 years and now I am wondering with the deadline approaching if I should be making PPI claims.

The reason I have not before is that I know for sure in the last ten years I have not had PPI, but before this I cannot be certain. Also, for those accounts older than 10 years I definitely do not have any paperwork for them, so no idea what the account numbers would be or if I ticked any PPI type boxes.

If you are completely unsure if you did have PPI (and therefore can't state you were mis-sold it) and don't have any acct details apart from the name of the company you had the load/card/mortgage with would it be worth claiming?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

You can ask the lenders if you had PPI and if you feel you have a mis selling reason, you can put in a complaint (not a claim).

For accounts of ten years and older, you may find there are no longer any records, as they should have generally been deleted in line with data protection.
