PPI car loan Jan 2000

Hi All - I bought a new Ford Focus 0% interest (paid a third deposit) in Jan 2000 from Exeter Ford. However, Exeter Ford is no longer in business and I didn't keep the paperwork for the car. I was told at the time that I couldn't take advantage of the offer if I didn't take out PPI so my claim would be solid if only I could remember who the lender was... can anyone help?
Thanks, Defty

Pre-Regulation complaint.
No one to complain to.

Your complaint is with the car dealer. Car dealers were not regulated until Jan 2005. So, this is pre-regulation. You also get no access to the FSCS as its pre-regulation.
