From googling:What is a sectional home?
Sectional Homes. Sectional homes, commonly referred to as "double wide"homes, are built on a steel frame designed to be set on cement piers or an approved foundation.
Am guessing it will fall under 'non standard construction' so may be difficult to mortgage. Is the whole bungalow constructed that way?2024 wins: *must start comping again!*0 -
I believe not. Is it something to do with being constructed partly with brick and other material?0

"Sectional construction" just means that the property is partially pre-fabricated, and arrives on site in sections, rather than being fully built on-site.
As a term, it covers everything from wood or steel flat-pack garden sheds and garages to the high-tech "SIP" structural insulated panel construction you'll see on Grand Designs and the like...0 -
The commonest sectional bungalows are normally made of factory-produced concrete panels, or sections, assembled on site. The most prolific trade name was 'Woolaway.'
I believe Woolaways are not now mortgageable, being on the 'defective list' for non-traditionally constructed properties. The problem is 'concrete cancer.'
The terms in ' ' are Googleable.0
