American Express Annual Fee

For many years I paid an annual fee for my American Express Card. Does anyone know if that fee possibly included an element of PPI or other credit "insurance"? Particularly interested if you have succeeded in making a claim

Most insurance would have been itemised and paid for separately, though some providers did include "free" holiday insurance etc as part of current account packages. No insurance in credit card fees that I know of.

In any case, PPI would have been far too expensive to be included in any annual fee and was based solely on the outstanding balance on the account.
It was a percentage of the amount outstanding each month.

It was never "hidden" in other fees and would have been itemised on the statement each month on a separate line.

There are very few reports of any success claiming back credit card fees, so I doubt you'll hear back from anyone who has actually complained.
