Reversing out to let a car go past, which driver is at fault?

'Reversing into another vehicle, because a driver was pressurising you to reverse quickly' is your fault. If you simply stop (in a smooth fashion) the pressurising driver would also have to stop. Proceed at a speed you're comfortable with - you're responsible for the speed of your own vehicle.0

You guys all seem to have some really great advice - wondering if anyone can help me?
Recently. Whilst stationary in a car park awaiting to manoeuvre into a spot someone reversed (without looking) and hit right into me! Couldn’t even react in time! Got out and he even admitted that he wasn’t looking. Exchanged details - (there were many witnesses as it’s a small town)
Currently. He is trying to avoid going through his insurance and has even said to me he doesn’t get how he hit me (he very widely and quickly swung out) also, he is insistent on his friend doing the work for cheap!
Can anyone please help me?? Just to clarify that I am in no means at fault? He has even suggested me contributing in the payment to repair me car??? Any advice would be greatly appreciated0 -

2) report it to your insurer, the 3rd party can negotiate with them.0 -

Picture the scene 12 - 24 months time. The repair shows signs of rust because it has been done poorly, and you are looking to sell. Who is taking the hit? You. Only one way to go with this. Report to your insurer. You will take a small hit on your premiums, but it will be less than having to put a cheap repair right.0

If you have witnesses and their details then go through your insurers.0
