OP, if the victim, who swishes to get an injunction, is a family member to the agressor then yes, see a family lawyer about getting a non-molestation order.
The applicat would need to be a current or former spouse or conhabitant, or a parent or child, or someone who was living in the same household,.

As a neighbour yo couldn't apply for a non-molestation order but might be able to apply for a restraining orfer under the Protection from Harassment act. A family lawyer might be able to help, or you might ned to speak to a litigation specialist.
All posts are my personal opinion, not formal advice Always get proper, professional advice (particularly about anything legal!)
  • I have a relative who is in the Police and from what I am told, calls that stem from mental health issues take up a fair proportion of those dealt with.

Sorry but this thread has led to no help (other than bagpuss)

Some are using our agony to impart your ''law knowledge''

All of which has no relation, whatsoever, to how the law actually works in reality. The law in theory is one thing.

Lots further has happened, so none is current now anyway

    thanks

Thanks Bagpuss, it doesnt apply to this situation as not a spouse, but thank you

We have found the correct way to proceed with the injunction

Many further developments have occurred since post one

Maybe you could let others know in case they find themselves in a similar situation?

If anyone is in a similar situation, please PM me, although that may be hard for people to know, as post one has been deleted and the situation has escalated a lot since post one - it is quite a specific set of circumstances

Other than to say the police reluctance to arrest and remove the violent one resulted in what could have been foreseen by most and it did not end there.
