ECO3 Scheme - Child Benefit
Options
Hi everyone
I'm in the process of buying an old terraced house that needs a fair bit of updating.
One of the key things is that it has no central heating system - the previous owner used plug-in portable heaters and a gas fire in the living room.
I've been looking into the ECO3 Scheme where you can apply for grants for installing a new central heating system when your house doesn't have any system in place currently.
There is an income requirement if the only benefit you receive is Child Benefit. On some sites it is listed as gross income (less than 18,500 for a single adult and one child) and on other sites this figure is listed as the net income requirement.
Has anyone been successful in applying for the grant based on child benefit? Is the maximum income figure before or after tax?
Thank you!:)

A google search for me under ECO3 doesn't bring up any sites offering grants for central heating at all. I can find possible options for grants for new boilers, but that's only replacement boilers on existing systems, not new central heating systems. What sites are you looking at, can you list the links?Indecision is the key to flexibility0

Thanks for the reply. This was the first site I found, I just can't find much in terms of reviews or legitimacy: freeheatingcouk0
