Hi
I know that if you pay something off your balance for Lloyds/Halifax cc then the payment may be duplicated, but can't find anything obvious as to whether this happens for Amex.
I have paid off my balance early, as wont be home to check if the DD has taken succesfully, and it is the first time it would have been collected anyway. Now, I'm worrying if they will take the full balance anyway.
But, am I right in thinking they will just take whatever I have spent since paying off that balance, or will the new spend roll over until next month?
Thank you

It gets adjusted and you should receive an email to confirm the adjustment as well0

Thanks. I paid it on 22nd and received an email thanking for the payment, but nothing since.
Do you think the payment on the DD date (on 7th) will be zero, or the amount I have spent since?0 -

If you paid the full balance (from the previous statement), the DD will be zero.
Around 3 days before your DD is due you'll get an email with the subject "UK Direct Debit Adjustment Notification" which tells you the DD amount, which would be £0 if you paid in full already.0 -
