IPC parking ticket

Hello,
I have read through **NEWBIES!! PRIVATE PARKING TICKET? OLD OR NEW? **READ THESE FAQS FIRST!** Thankyou! and all the the links which seemed relevant but i have no idea how to proceed.
In may, the driver entered the car park in question and parked up. Having used this car park previously, the driver paid using the pay by phone option and left. When the driver returned, there was a parking ticket which said this is not a parking charge notice. The keeper received a letter stating the contravention reason: 94) Parked without displaying a valid ticket/permit. The keeper appealed against this stating the Driver had paid via phone and was not informed any display of ticket was required. The company rejected the appeal with the reasoning that the driver parked in one carpark and paid in another. The two car parks are joined with no obvious markings to inform the driver that there is two different car parks. the two car parks are run by the same company and the only signage is above head height when standing, with small writing and all signs present are in identical format with the only difference bring the name at the top.

Please help as I feel like this is poorly signed and is designed to confuse potential users of the carpark.

Thank you

Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams so complain to your MP.

Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.

Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.
  • Thank you, what advice (if any) do you have or further appeal? I was considering appealing to an independent ombudsman. the one they suggest and possibly another one as well. do you think this would be a good idea?

You are now in ignore mode unless you get a LBC as far as the scammers are concerned.

What happened when you complained to the landowner?

Have you complained to your MP about this unregulated scam.

Who is this PPC who separates car parks with different pay machines operated by the same company. Sounds like a trap

1: Go and take a video and pics as to how a driver sees this

2: Forget the IPC/IAS, it is a scam invented by a very dodgy solicitor called Gladstones

3: They have admitted you paid so regardless which pay machine, they took your money ..... more so they stole your money

By ignoring will mean a string of letters from stupid debt collectors who are brain dead .... YOU IGNORE THESE IDIOTS

So, they stole your money, dare they take this to court as a judge would give them a good kicking

Let us know what happens next, NOT the rubbish debt collectors, they are just stupid

The IAS is not independent, or impartial, or fair. There is no other form of ADR for you to use. The NEWBIES tells you this and tells you not to use it.
Your options are, ignore our advice and lose at IAS, or take our advice to ignore everything you receive from now on except real court papers.

Could you expand on the above please? Also was it a station car park?

Try to obtain photographs of the entry to the car park, signage and lack of demarcation between one car park and the other. Try to do this before the PPC can make any changes.

But apart from getting evidence there is nothing to do now, until you win at court stage.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
