NatWest slow to deposit cheque image in app

NatWest and RBS have lagged behind Barclays, HBoS, HSBC and others by not implementing cheque image deposits in its app.
I complained to the online system today and the responses were:
[You are now chatting with Vaishali.]
We are still updating this system and working on it for the app
and in near future the app would have the feature to pay cheque
via the app
I sincerely apologise for the inconvenience this may cause
however trust me we are on it and we'll have this updated soon in
the app. being customer myself I can understand your concern
[slighty shortened]
Good news, isn't it? Get so few cheques, it isn't too much hassle to take them to a PO, but still a positive development - when it comes.
