Skyscanner, Kayak etc. multi city searches

If selecting a straightforward return, eg in and out of the same airports, you get the 'whole month' or +/- 3 day option.

Yet with multi city searches, ie flying into Saigon but out from Hanoi you have to use specific dates in and out. Is there any way around this, or are there any other search engines for flights that give flexible dates for a multi city option?

You use the straight forward return option to find the cheapest dates for the two destinations and then put that information together to get the best open jaw.

I did this for the trip to Vietnam and got a very good deal with Vietnam Airlines through Expedia.

ITA Matrix is excellent for this, the interface is a bit more clunky but it’s a great tool. https://matrix.itasoftware.com/

It’s the brains behind Google Flights so it might be worth trying that first.
