Morning! lovely and sunny at the moment [won't last long though]. Griding my loins in preparation for hard labour...
Was so tired yesterday I went back to bed when my sister and father left so then obviously I wasn't tired till 3 am this morning..Father looked a lot better yesterday though, he had some colour back in face. Here's hoping they can sort out his meds for some positive response. I think I'd better plan a trip home after the appointments next month. OH can sort out his motorbike and follow later.
Better get my screws, brackets and drill out then for todays playing...
OL, oh dear, that' so annoying. If someone tried to start one with me in the morning they'd be looking at losing some special body parts. I may wake up early [for me admittedly] but the brain is on 'alert snarl mode' until it's had a bit of time....And some coffee. Well done Nelski, you can make money out of anti-prediction of weatheras my sister says to me, good job little buddy....I do the bingo shuffle of watering the pots, they all go in and out of a deep terracotta dish to soak for half an hour and then get moved on..Gers, fab news and you are also doing a sterling job, looks like she has decided to not give in...TA, go slow, take care of your hip and leg, and well done! [ re sewing...]. Jackie, hope you're better...nmlc, then it's time to go off by yourself then, so bloody annoying when someone is doing the sulking teenager act when they're miles past the age of it. camelot, nice to hear you had a good time, although I wouldn't be calling walking restful! Hugs to AOD and SO....

Morning all, I have given up on trying to cut back brambles, I got scratched and then it started to rain.
I love Comps, I thought that I'd wished you a happy birthday yesterday, obviously yet another post that disappeared.
OL I have a cache of weapons if you need one, hammer, pruning saw, very fine metal knitting needle, not very OS weed spray?
I've not done much other than move things around, interspersed with a bit of garden clearance in between showers.
I'm really cold, time for a woolly cardigan and socks I think.I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0 -
Hi everyone,
Showery today, just managed dogwalking without being drenched, unlike yesterday  We had an unexpected visit from DGD so she ended up coming with us to the sm as she had some pocket money to spend, and bought various bits and bobs. She had tea with us and then DS took her back, but she really enjoyed her roast chicken dinner followed by carrot cakeWe managed a short visit to our friends ,then chilled watching tv later.
Sympathies nmlc,Dh refuses to go anywhere on a BHHe is sanding down a worktop ready for work tomorrow atm!
Something with braising steak for tea,not sure what yet.
Hope its not too busy for you today RR, and also work goes well Nelski.
Glad you had a nice birthday I love comps
BH best wishes to you all xx:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
Hi everyone
Just been reading back over the weekend's posts as haven't had time. I looked after my dad for the day yesterday as my brother took my mum, youngest DD and little grand daughter to a family christening. We had a nice day with a game of scrabble. When they came home we all had a lovely Chinese meal together. Little granddaughter stayed with me last night and slept for almost 11 hours....she woke up full of smiles.
Shes 9lbs 11ozs now and will be 5 months next week....still on oxygen at night but probably not for much longer. It's so much easier now we don't have to take oxygen everywhere.
Just having a quiet day today....dusted and hoovered and have some washing out on the line. I have some work to do on the laptop for work so might get that done now then it's out the way and I can enjoy my week off. Youngest DD will be back up later as I've a chicken to cook for tea.
Hope everyone has a nice day0 -
For the second day in a row my post has disappeared into the wild blue yonder....not a happy camper.
OL .....hugs.
Gers.....it would appear that DM seems to have decided to fight old age....good for her.
dp1.....that little girl is fighting a great fight, in no time she will be running around into every mischief.
Hope that you have all enjoyed your bank holiday......our May one is first Monday, but June BH is next week.
