The Money Shop/Platform Mortgage Loans

I took out a mortgage in 1999 with the Money Store which I think was the broker. The mortgage was with Platform Loans who I understand the coop now deals with. I was going to try and claim £1800 back on missold ppi. The Money Store is no longer trading and someone has told me to contact the Underwriters. I dont suppose anyone knows if that would be the case and if they know who the underwriter is. Any help appreciated thank you.

It's pre-regulation as well as the broker no longer being in business, so best to leave this one now.

That wont work on mortgage PPI.

On the plus side, you probably were not missold. Mortgage brokers are barely making 0.5% of PPI complaints and the uphold rate for them is just 16%. The three biggest mortgage brokers in the UK (which account for over half of all mortgages) dont even manage 30 complaints with the FOS on PPI in each monitoring period. So, the odds are that you woudlnt have succeeded on a complaint even if it was post-regulation.
