Compare the market cheaper than broker for life insurance ???

Looking for life insurance for my daughter (19 yrs old, 76k cover, 25 years, level term).
The MSE guide says that going through one of the suggested brokers is cheaper than a comparison site but I'm finding that the comparethemarket is almost 1/3 cheaper than the cheapest broker (Cavendish).
Am I missing something ???

Nope, every once in a while it just happens that your mainstream comparison sites will be better than your broker..
Not the same, but my recent car insurance was taken out through confused.. first time i've EVER used a comparison site to actually go through the whole insurance process.. i've always used a broker, but after a recent theft claim, the same broker(s) i've always used hiked my premium ridiculously..
When i cancelled my policy and told my broker that i had found it cheaper on a comparison site by nearly 70%, they couldn't believe it.. and they very ALMOST nearly made the mistake of offering me a price match0 -
make sure you compare like for like, Cavendish are initiation only brokers and no advice is given.
Whereas advice brokers like Lifesearch do tailor your needs"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

Thanks.
Yep we are comparing like for like - straightforward life insurance without advice. Was it really "everybody" that was Kung Fu fighting ???0 -
If both are non-advised and we know Cavendish is nil commission (as you pay the fee) then you would expect similar ballpark on a like for like basis.
Be careful. Some of the comparison sites show yearly renewable term assurance and/or reviewable premiums at the top of the pile rather than guaranteed level premiums.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). You'd be amazed how much insurance premiums vary through different channels.
Try them all! Brokers, price comparison websites, company websites. For an extra 30 min - 1hour of looking you could potentially save £50 - £100Absolutely love a good bargain. If anybody has any money saving tips please send them my way :j0
