A bit unrelated but I have my first uni assignment back today and I managed to scrape a 2:1. I am so happy. I really struggle to get that assignment done and I was convinced that I would either fail or just about pass so I am thrilled to have done so well. I need to prepare for my next assignment now. :-/
Sill saving like mad but dipped into the savings this week to purchase a better car. With the weather being so bad here and the school runs being in 2 opposite directions, a working and spacey car is a must. I bought a VW Touran for a really competitive price and that should last for a few years at least, new cam belt and fully MOT'd and serviced so a great price.
However, the hit to my saving has made me a little bit down. It will hopefully just give me the drive to save more and build those savings back up again.
I can't wait for Christmas now, especially as it's our first Christmas with no debt, no stress and no nutter ex-husband around :-)
SOA being drawn up to have my budget set for the year :-)

Fell like I have not updated in ages, but i hit my 2019/2020 savings goal and I have now hit my 2020/2021 goal too.
So i am well on the way to getting a good mortgage deposit together.
Once the credit file is cleaned up and ive finished university, ill be past the 5 years post bankruptcy mark too and be able to apply for our own home.

Aww well done! It must be expensive having 9 kids. Ive got 3 and they bleed me dry. Especially with birthdays Christmas and school uniforms.

I started cleaning my credit file in Jan 2016 and finally got my mortgage offer in Feb this year so it can be done and looking back it doesn’t actually feel that long ago. My CCJ comes off in July 2021 then it’ll be spotless fingers crossed.

Good luck anyway and I’ll keep checking in x
