I never asked for a quote- just an extremely rough estimate to see if the general consensus was relatively close to my extremely rough estimate. I didn’t think many details were needed as literally everything needs replacing, as I stated.
Thanks for your help anyway- I didn’t think a builder would bother coming to give a quote if you don’t own the property, or know the builder personally.0 -
You need to have £250k. If you have that, go to a builder and ask these questions.0

It has been like it is now since before 2008. So take the £100k and double it especially since you are talking about an HMO and all the extra safety items you have to have fitted.
It is going to cost you about £500k in cash.0 -
Ok thank-you! finally some real advice. 150k was my upper limit on repairs, renovations etc so you guys have saved me a 3 hour drive, and also helped me avoid wasting a builders time too! I’ll have to look elsewhere at the moment, unless the pound drops in value.0
