Morning all. Jackie O hope your bruises and tooth are less painful today. HH enjoy the boats. AOD and SO thinking of you.
John and DS have gone out for breakfast. I am chilling on here with a coffee.
Dgs was very good yesterday and we got haircut done and specs checked. We also went to Donald's as he calls
it. He had chips and fish fingers and orange juice and scoffed the lot lol.
Well have a good day folks and hugs to all."It's hard to be a diamond in a rhinestone world"0 -
Morning all. Pottering day here and then family tea party tomorrow. I need to do some tidying up - lots of bits and pieces to put in their correct place plus isome shredding of paperwork. Amazing how quickly papers accumulate and they are now sliding off the desk and escaping over the floor.
Hope to have time to crochet later whilst listening to my book. I use audible as it's great to shut out the world when travelling. I'm listening to a lovely but poignant book at the moment called Elizabeth is Missing.0 -
Afternoon all,
I've just caught up on the news from yesterday, and want to send my deepest condolences to AOD, the death of a parent is always hard no matter what age
SO, hope DMs funeral went as well as these things can.
Hugs to you both, and indeed anyone else who is struggling.JackieO,hope your aches & pains improve quickly.
Snoozer  poor Ziggy, hope she's ok
DH has just gone to get a puncture fixed on his van.We had a hectic morning with DGd swimming lesson,no football for dgs due to BH so he came to watch. We took both home as both DS were being dropped off at the local football club where we used to live. They are all going on a trip to the races and the coach was leaving at 12,and we made it with a few minutes to spare. At least it's a nice day for it,although not sunny at the moment. No doubt they'll be a little worse for wear later on
and I predict a lazy day tomorrow!
Not sure what we'll have for tea but it makes it a lot simpler with just the 2 of us eating for a change. I've got a loaf in the Bmaker. The new Panny seems a lot better at getting the loaf out of the pan,the paddle is non stick and only leaves a little hole. Last week I weighed out the right amount of flour in bags, enough for the weeks bread so it was a lot quicker than doing it each time,I shall do that again tomorrow.
The new wrought iron fence is here for the back,to border the new path so DH may fix that when he gets back. I may read and end up falling asleep
He woke me up last night, groaning in his sleep- not sure what the dream was about, then I heard the milkman around 5 ....
Anyway Best Bank Holiday wishes to you all xx:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
Hi all I am back from my fruitless trip to Ilkley as, as the saying goes, he who hesitates is lost. And I lost out on a second bottle lamp. All gone! I know I should have gone back sooner but there was always something to stop me.
It was a pleasant morning out regardless. I took a sandwich with me (had my MSE head on) and ate it in the sunshine in the little garden surrounding the bandstand. Finished off with the little treat of a choc marzipan bar from M & S and did a spot of people watching.
I succumbed to a white lace decorated t shirt from the Shelter cs but nothing else leaped out at me.
Have a good rest of the day folks xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0
