Thank you for your advice.

"Everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about. Be kind. Always"
Having just read your post and all the replies I do not see it as you 'coming under fire'
Most replies are saying that you need to contact the DWP, tell them your father is gifting you £100 a week, explain why he is gifting it you and then let them decide if it will affect your UC payment.
If it does not affect it then great, if it does affect it and this leads to a drop in your UC at least you know that you won't have an over payment to pay back won't you?0 -

I was trying to indicate to you that on a public forum it's necessary to exercise some judgement when evaluating posts.
Simply because a poster might tell you they are "a legal professional in this field" doesn't mean you should suspend your normal critical thinking when assessing any information given.
I sense you are looking for a black and white answer. I don't think there is one - as posters have suggested the DWP might interpret your situation in varying ways.
Look at the links that posters have provided for you.
Think carefully about the suggestions made by posters (who have given of their time and expertise / experience to share with you).
Should you wish to be cautious then I suggest you ask your dad to make payments to settle your bills, make irregular rather than regular payments, and consider making cash gifts, etc, etc.Alice Holt Forest situated some 4 miles south of Farnham forms the most northerly gateway to the South Downs National Park.0
