Catch 22 - New Bank Account

Hi,
Have been on a visitors visa since June. My husband (citizen) has had to have all accounts etc in his name.
I now have my leave to remain and have a job offer. They have requested bank account details as a requirement for taking up the position.
Most of the banks want me to have proof of income - I can't prove income because I don't have one yet.
Any advice??

Can your husband change his account to joint account which your salary can be paid into?
If you want a separate account open one after your are working and arrange for your employer to pay your salary into the new account once it is opened.0 -

I’m pretty sure I didn’t supply those to either Monzo or Starling Bank when opening the accounts.
Of the 2, I’d recommend Starling as the more respectable option.

Santander has an account which has more features than a basic account, and is aimed at people new to the UK:

I don't have experience of it, but I'd guess they would be understanding of your situation. They do say it can be opened with "proof of employment" rather than income, so a written job offer might work.0
