Thank you for all the replies! Will post back when I hear from the solicitors.

There are a few things not answered/need attention in the solicitors report, yet exchange/completion is proposed for around a weeks time!

The property is terraced, bought off the council in the late 80s I believe by the current owner, and I think there are still other council tenants nearby, possibly next door to us..
