Renting Deposit

So I am currently in a rented flat and my deposit is in the tenancy deposit scheme.

My lease is up in September and I am going to look for somwhere cheaper. I have a question re deposit, I know I will get my existing deposit back when I have moved out subject to the property being left as required. If I find a new flat to move to do I need to find another lot of ££ to pay the deposit on that or is my current deposit transferable through the TDS?

I'm going to struggle to come up with the 5 weeks required if I haven't received my current deposit back ?

You will need to find that money. Deposits are not transferable.

Between now and September there's 3 months, that's a lot of time to find the necessary funds. If necessary borrow the money and pay back with your current deposit.
