Short term jewellery insurance - does it exist?

Hi there, I hope this post is in the correct place.
I've recently purchased an engagement ring for my girlfriend and plan on proposing in a couple of weeks whilst we're away on holiday. I am wondering whether anyone has heard of any insurers that offer short term insurance like month on month or anything less than yearly as I'll be leaving the UK in a few months.
I've tried a few insurers and they're all coming in at around £180 pa which is a bit to pay for only 3 months.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks. Sam

Have you checked to see if any of the insurers who have quoted you will allow the policy to be cancelled after 3 months to give you some of the annual premium back - you probably wouldn't get 3/4 but you might get 1/2.0

Is your girlfriend leaving the UK with you? If not then the insurance would carry on.
If you have contents insurance you could add it on to that.
I'm not aware of short term insurance policies for jewellery.
Good luck with the proposal

Agrinall, I'll ring a few insurers up and see if they'll be able to return some of the premium. Thanks.
Moving forward, I don't have contents insurance sadly. Yeah, she'll be moving too. Thanks.0
