Lloyd's current account application

Has anyone here recently opened a Lloyds' Classic account?

I cannot access the application. I click through to apply and get only a redirect notice in the Toolbar and no progress to the application. Tried using Chrome and Edge browsers both Logged in and out of Lloyd's Internet banking.

Any suggestions?

    I should add that I've cleared cookies. Tried with and without anti-virus/internet security enabled.

    Would you believe it? I've managed to apply. Thought I'd check whether I could apply for a Halifax account (it's only an account for a switching offer) and that wouldn't progress either.

    I'd left a tab open on the Lloyd's page and it managed to load the page after about 10 minutes. Had the same problem on the last page also but application successful by then.

    Sometimes ad-blocker/browser extensions/VPNs can also mess with sites like these - try disabling them in addition to clearing cookies. I usually use Private/Incognito modes as these modes typically disable add ons without having to manually do so. Otherwise try a different browser/device.

    It could also be a problem on Lloyds' end, in which case try again tomorrow or something -shrugs-
