I am looking on Amazon for a refurb desktop pc set.

I really don't need advice on the computer just some help on how Amazon show their reviews.

I am looking at 4 different sellers they are all selling the same pc set (pc,monitor, keyboard and mouse) with the same picture, they are all different prices but all have the exact same reviews.

Is this how Amazon work because it's hard to see which review is for which seller. Or am I missing something :-)

Here is a link to 2 of them to show what I mean

Thanks for any help

I don't think you can tell which reviewer received the product from which seller as Amazon reviews on the product pages aren't about the seller. If I listed a tin of Heinz beans for sale and so did you, both items would have the same reviews as they're the same product. That's why those reviews aren't supposed to mention things like how the seller dealt with dispatch, refunds etc, because they're just a review of the product.

If you want to see reviews of the sellers click their name where it says 'Sold by' and then look at their feedback. Bear in mind that seller feedback is for all items sold by the seller, but you can get a good feel for how they respond to questions, deal with problems, dispatch speed, whether they've listed things under the correct spec etc.

Whether they are the exact same item for this type of product is questionable, but they should all have the same spec as listed on the product page. If they're refurbished, it's possible that each seller wouldn't always send the exact same case, monitor etc anyway.

Dont trust the reviews either. Give away some free samples and get glowing reviews even for faulty rubbish items.

Pay some family and friends to purchase your goods and leave glowing reviews. Cheaper than advertising?

I would say no. Don't buy anything without an SSD fitted unless you can fit one yourself.
The PC you can pick up for around £100 and the monitor sells for around £50; https://www.ebay.co.uk/p/Dell-Professional-P2211H-21-5-LED-Monitor/93654424
You can pick up a brand new 24" Full HD IPS monitor for around £100. Example; https://www.ebuyer.com/780099-philips-243v7qdab-00-24-full-hd-ips-monitor-243v7qdab-00

So why would you pay £225 for something that you could buy for much less?

Looks to me like the same product, but the longer link has an extra filter.

The longer one also has &m=A1AE220B0U2TA3 which is for seller Refurb IT MCR (VAT), hence the higher prices.

The review is for the product, regardless of who sells it.
