Can I even post this since they're named and they haven't given permission to be posted on here? ... the rules on here are so dumb these days I don't even know.

“A wedding would have completed us as a family,”
Seeing as you can get married practically anywhere, then I suggest a registrars office. Family complete!0 -
They are being given 1k as part of their runners up prize, that's more than enough for a wedding.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0

Yep. A grand as a runner up prize would by a nice dress, suit, licence & hire of the registry office. And maybe change for a nice slap up meal later.
I can't understand these that go all out and have a massive wedding, only to still be paying for it about 5 years later. Especially if you already have children. I reckon that the money would be better spent on them.
Each to their own, I suppose. But a £1000 runner up prize still isn't bad going.BEST EVER WINS WON IN ORDER (so far) = Sony Camcorder, 32" lcd telly, micro ipod hifi, Ipod Nano, Playstation 3, Andrex Jackpup, Holiday to USA, nintendo wii, Liverpool vs Everton tickets, £250 Reward Your thirst, £500 Pepsi, p&o rotterdam trip, perfume hamper, Dr Who stamp set, steam cleaner.

Shame for them but I spent less than £1000 on my wedding and they have the night in the hotel too.0

What's the betting that this is the journalist who has shall we say enhanced the story slightly. The sad looks, then list of tragedies they have suffered which are nothing at all to do with the competition.
I am surprised a story like this has even made the news. Probably as this is a slow news day for the newspapers due to the European election purdah. The best things in life are free.....0 -

Why suddenly want to get married when theyve had 2 kids without. Nothing to do with it being free of course.0

I don't think Ofcom will be too merciful when it comes to such a mistake should anyone wish to complain to them. They've been known to find broadcasters in violation of broadcasting rules for less than what has happened in this case. Keep an eye on the Broadcast Bulletins to see if this case comes up.0
