Morning. Although I've only just started posting I have read along for a while so hope it's ok to say "well done" to Lee too. A great achievement. In my exciting world - today will be a trip to the local shops and the amazing greengrocer. I've only been going for the last few weeks but so enjoy choosing from the wide range of fresh and beautifully presented fruit and veg. I can chose the quality and quantity and pack it in paper bags not plastic. Coat wise it's not much more expensive and there's less waste too. What's not to like? Funny though that my grandparents and parents used local shops to buy what they needed when they needed it and now it feels like such a novelty not to use the big supermarkets for absolutely everything.0

Moring all! Beautifully sunny again, I've been playing put the plant pot watering bingo with about six or seven pots over the last couple of days because they're all drying out. They really need to go in the ground but nothing is prepared yet or I'm not quite sure where to put them.
I've offered a friend a hand to paint his flat today so I'll be going out in a bit with a pit stop for more Pks and maybe a salad. OH has asked me to get the brackets so one bed can be finished so that's another job for the way home. I also want to go to BM to see what gardening stuff is on offer. I've decided that since the house isn't going to get done anytime soon we might as well enlarge the bit of concrete outside the back door to make a larger area to sit in, because at the moment, when it rains, the chairs sink into the earth.
I made a start on one thing in the house yesterday to get rid of, I might foist it on someone else to play with...what is it with this starting and never finishing jobs? More will power required....Also have to do the FridyTidy a day early with imminent visitors, or as the OH puts it, the Queen is coming....
dumpling, congratulations to Lee! RR, didn't think about that, I'll put some out later one for them. Good luck Speky! Have a nice weekend HH.

Tomorrow is an in service day and we will be looking after dgs. His mum is taking him for a chrst x ray at the Children's hospital and we will come down on the bus and take over while she goes to work. Luckily she wotks near the.hospital. A trip to the barbers in Bedminster on the way home is on the cards too and we will probably go and visit the city farm too. By then it will be time to take him home. He was 5 this week so has to pay half fate on the bus so should be interesting.
Congratulations to Lee Dumpling. Specky wishing you success in Berlin.
Have a good day folks.

I've just been up to vote - the polling station is only 2 minutes walk away. It's very quiet, I think a lot of people are apathetic about these elections.
Clinic appointment went well, most of the tumours are gone (he had lots spread through his body cavity), just a couple of small ones left which will probably disappear by the end of the chemo.
We then drove down to pick up Ziggy, taking gigantic picture that Laura and Brian had left for framing at a local business, she's much cheaper than London framers.
well done Lee. Enjoy Berlin Speky.0 -

SNOOZER that's really good news for you all.
I had a profitable shop at Aldi this morning. Getting there early meant there were quite a few items marked 50% off so got more fish to stash away in the freezer. I loves me fish!
This afternoon was the physio appointment. He is mystified as to what is causing the leg, hip and knee pain when walking. He turned and twisted my legs in all directions and not a twinge! Nevertheless he has given me some muscle strengthening exercises to do and I have to report back on any progress (or otherwise) in a few weeks time.
I have the two youngest DGDs sleeping tonight but no Bolognese Bake to make today! They are eating at the fish restaurant near to the pool when they have finished at their swimming clubs. DD is not working tomorrow but eldest DGD has to be at school for 6.00 a.m. for the coach to the airport for their journey to Lourdes. DD will then come back here to breakfast with us and take the girls to school.
Have a good evening folks if you can and take care xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -
Snoozer, what great news!
I've put away some more stuff, cleaned the kitchen and dining room windows - they don't seem to have been done I a while and are still a bit hazy after several cleans. Done some laundry but it is having to go on the rack which OH has lifted out to the garden as we can't find the washing line he bought. It'll turn up. More weeding but have reached the stage where I need to do battle with brambles and I want gloves for that.I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0
