Approached for installation of smart meters, SMS on behalf of Shell energy, I was indifferent until informed of £60 off my utility bill. I agreed, then checked with Shell following day. BS !!!!
I cancelled. Shell raised a complaint, no communication with me, was resolved 2 days later !!?

It's generally not a good idea to respond to unsolicited text messages.
Shell Energy is currently offering a credit of £15 per fuel (£30 total) to punters who sign up to their Smart tariff.
Shell Energy is a bit on the pricey side and appears quite some way down the list on comparison websites. I don't think Smart meters would be enough to encourage me to switch to them.
