Ford Kuga Powershift Gearbox Service
Hi, I have a 2014 Ford Kuga 2.0 tdci Titanium Powershift. Its only done 20k but, being 6 years old next year, its due its 2nd gearbox oil and filter change. I understand they also flush out the gearbox too and a specific filling sequence is required. Because I am under extended warranty, I will have to have this done but, Ford have today quoted me £345.74. and said it is a 2.5 hour job. It seems I have no alternative but to pay this although, I still need to afford the normal service on top of that. Does anyone have any alternative advice? Could a non Ford dealer do the same job? Again, I understand they hook it up to a special machine to do the draining, flushing and replacement oils. Just a bill I can barely afford.
