Why are Paymentshield not accepting responsibility for PPI sold through an advisor ?
It is thier company who benefits from these sales and agree to advisors being used.
Totally disgraceful behaviour.

Because they didn't sell you anything?

If I sold you a Ford which was faulty would you blame me or Ford?

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Not disgraceful in the sighted I’m afraid, that would be like holding a car manufacture liable for a second hand salesman selling you one of their cars... not sure how the can be responsible for the actions of a third party.

Why are Paymentshield not accepting responsibility for PPI sold through an advisor ?

Because paymentshield didnt sell you the PPI.
It is thier company who benefits from these sales and agree to advisors being used.

What has that got to do with anything?

The issue with PPI is not the product but the sales process used with some distribution channels.

IFAs have a tiny volume of complaints (under 0.5% of complaints) and only 16% of PPI complaints are upheld. Paymentshield is a quality provider with a decent offering. You can still buy Paymentshield PPI today.
    Totally disgraceful behaviour.

You appear to have misunderstood the PPI issue. You appear to want a company that had nothing to do with the sales process to take on responsibility for something they were not involved in at all.

No disgrace here. Just your misunderstanding.
