I am going to Berwick on Tweed next week and I am looking for any suggestions for days out with a young family. Considering travelling to Edinburgh for the Zoo - any discounts out there for this attraction?

What about a visit to Holy Island/Lindisfarne? It's just up the road from Berwick. You'll have to check the tide times, access to the island is by a causeway you drive across when the tide is out.
A little bit further up the road is Seahouses. They have boat trips to see the seals and sea birds around the Farne Islands. We went out with Billy Shiels boat, excellent trip.10 Dec 2007 - Led Zeppelin - I was there. :j [/COLOR]:cool2: I wear my 50 (gold/red/white) blood donations pin badge with pride. it's a bit of a drive, but alnwick castle isnt worth missing. it's really cheap to get into the gardens - you dont have to bother with the castle itself - and it's the gardens that are definitely worth a look.0
