Time scale on when to chase

Hi
I submitted a PPI claim to BOS, who were quite prompt in acknowledging and giving time scales. They advised that I should have a response by 22nd April, as that was Easter weekend, I didn't realistically expect anything. On 27th March, received a text that they had almost completed the review and I would hear something soon.
Have heard nothing since, when would be a reasonable time to contact them for an update?

Whenever you like. They have 8 weeks before you can go to the FOS but otherwise no real hard deadline to respond.
Assuming you mean complaint of course, not trying to claim on the PPI policy?Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

You can also now refer your complaint to the Ombudsman if you wish, as the Bank are only allowed eight weeks to consider your complaint. This may be counterproductive, however, since it will doubtless delay your complaint still further.0 -

Dear All - new to this so please excuse any errors etc.
Looking for some kind advice. Have been refused a ppi on a mbni card - 3 year complaint bar of whichbi had no idea existed. They claim to Have written to me in April 2013 - requested copy of letter 4 weeks ago was promised within 14 days but has not been sent to me - I think as the claimed one never was. Importantly I have a letter from mbna in April 2014 confirming receipt of my correspondence relating to my cancellation of the ppi. I can find my sent letter from my storage archives but this would have complained and requested the cancellation. Any thoughts please as to how best go back to mbni ?

A correctly applied timebar can't be overturned and as you were living at the same address a year later, there's nothing you can do.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0

In addition, you say you cancelled the PPI a year later in 2014-but that means the 3 year time bar would also apply to that event too!0
