  • Only the postcodes in play are entered into the draws, in the last 12 months we have had 6x10 and 1x£15.
  • Personally, I won the most in the lottery 5 lots

Are we talking about the Free Postcode Lottery (PickMyPostcode) or the People's postcode lottery?
On PMP I joined on 20th October 2017, I've never had a win (£49 bonus now).

This is the one you pay for (won 5 x £10 this year) not the free one (won £10 stackpot this year, with my bonus came to just over £100 - 2018 won £200 + my bonus)

So - it appears to be a case of new subscribers standing a higher chance of winning (6 * £10 in year 1, 3 * £10 in year 2 and so far 1 * £10 in year 3) - this doesn't look good for next year

Should make no difference - (not that it has any real statistical value but won more this year than the previous 2)

Checking back over the years this postcode has won something 5 times (this year) then 2, 2, 1, 5 ,5

The actual answer from their website is:-

"It isn’t possible to predict the likelihood of winning a prize in the future draws as this depends on the number of postcodes and tickets entered into the draws and this can vary. As a guide, these are details of winners from previous draws:

In the October draws 16.5% of playing postcodes won a prize."

In other words 1 in 6 playing postcodes won a prize in October

    and for December

Estimated max possible ticket prize in the December millions draw is £462,000

I don't play the one you need to pay for, but check the site (PickMyPostcode) via the daily reminder email for the free one. I won on a triple rollover for the main draw when the main prize was only around £20 (It's about £100 now :) and I hadn't been playing long.  Mr GB entered with Mum's postcode a few years ago and recently won the £10 bonus.  Happily his bonus had built to around £50 so just under £60 was in his paypal account the same day he claimed.

They have done something which appears to allow them to regularly offer larger individual ticket prizes than before or there has been a large rise in ticket sales (prize limit was 10% of ticket sales), generally the limit worked out to just under £210,000   - this year has seen the monthly million provide individual ticket prizes worth   £250,000 / £369,000 /  £310,000 and this month £375,800
