First Response car insurance scam

I'll admit it - I was tired, I was;t thinking - had a call from First Response today about an accident I had last week (genuinely)

They seemed to know everything already (reg numbers, address, phone, names etc)

Chatted with them for about 15 mins, got put through to the "personal injury claim lawyer" who said they will email me through the documents to e-sign after a 5 min chat about "does your neck hurt? have you had time off work?"

Obviously I am going to delete the email when it comes through but my question is, apart from knowing my phone is going to be red hot with calls similar to this, what damage has been done? I didn't divulge any info they hadn't already got from my insurance company (!!!!!!s for selling data!)

I'm so annoyed with myself but just want to know if I now need to move house, change name, change phone number and have my car crushed.

Thanks

Mike

The worst you can expect is years of calls from similar companies.

    Block them and forget them

(They aren't necessarily scammers! Ambulance chasers maybe)
