Phoenix Commercial Collection

Hi,

I received a letter today from Phoenix Commercial Collection Ltd (on behalf of Richmond Council) saying I have not paid a fine using the bus lane at Kew Road (A316) on 27/08/2018 (August Bank Holiday Monday). The bus lane usage times are Mon-Fri 7am-10am AND 4pm-7pm.

I think I may have used the bus lane that day because it was bank holiday. However if I broke the rules here I should receive a PCN or letter or something from the council with proof (pictures) and time stamped. I did not receive such notice/ letter.

This truly has come out of the blue. If the council has sent me letter with the proof and I would most certainly have paid for it but no such thing. I am very very sure of not receiving any PCN or letters from the council.

How could I deal with this matter? All help are much appreciated.

Many thanks

Dan

Contact them by letter and ask for proof of said offence?

Don't ring as they will insist you owe the money and may use the call as a fishing exercise to get more details from you to strengthen their argument.
May you find your sister soon Helli.

Are you the registered keeper of the vehicle? Were your address details correct at the time of the alleged offence, and still correct - no house moves?

I believe you can do a Statutory Declaration to get this reset ... might be best taking this to Pepipoo. (Don't try to register using a Hotmail address).

Could I send an email to the debt collection company or ask the council to clarify it with evidence? I certainly will not ring.

    Many thanks

Yes I am the keeper of the car and still registered to my current address (have not moved)

Thank you for the link suggestion. I will seek some answers there too.

    Many thanks for your reply.
