UK CPM. Confusing and misleading signage

Hi all,
Looking for a help and some advice from you, guys.
The keeper received PCN by post from UK PCM for Unauthorised Parking. The keeper wasn't driving the vehicle
at the alleged time. The incident's place is near the demolished former Imperial House site in Alma Road
(now under redevelopment to Windsor Business Quarter).
This road is the only way to a free car park at the end of that road. There are few parking spaces on the right side and the fence around the demolished former Imperial House on the opposite. There are old double yellow lines
everywhere along the road with only exception of these few unmarked parking bays. No any signs attached near these bays.
But there are lot of different signs all over the fence across the road and one more attached to the lamppost before
the road bends. The whole place is looking abandoned with rubbish dumped everywhere and the signage there extremely
confusing and contradicting.

Is there a question in there somewhere?

Perhaps your starting point should be reading the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread.

And please also read other UKCPM threads as they are ALL THE SAME and all go to court and we beat them/Gladstones, literally ALL the time.

If you can get the landowner to cancel it, try that. No appeal works, and no-one here is so weak and naive (or scared of winning at a court hearing) that they'd pay a scammer.

    These signs are very confusing.
While the one signage is forbidding parking at anytime:

    NO PARKING AT ANYTIME

the other sign which UKPCM has not included in their evidence pack seems like it's not forbidding parking:

NO PARKING ON ROADWAYS AT ANYTIME

YOU MUST PARK WHOLLY WITHIN A MARKED BAY.
NO PARKING ON ROADWAYS / YELLOW LINES / PAVED /
    HATCHED OR LANDSCAPED AREAS

There are no any signage near the parking bays. Moreover these bays not even properly marked.
Looks like the signage is forbidding any parking on the yellow lines and roadways but allowing
to park on the parking bays as long as the car was parked wholly within these bays.
The driver at the time had suggested that as there wasn't any signage along the parking bays,
it's ok to park there as long as it's parked within these bays.
Can I appeal on the ground that the different signs were of conflicting nature,
written in inconsistent and ambiguous terms and therefore are mutually exclusive and misleading?

Your grounds for appeal are unimportant at this time.

Send the already written for you blue text template appeal that you will find in post #1 of the NEWBIES thread.

Send it unchanged - no additions or alterations needed.

    Send it as the keeper.

But don't be in any doubt. I did tell you:
    No appeal works

And I told you what happens and how these UKCPM cases are won in the end.

Sorry, but that template looks so irrelevant to my case (no PDT machine, no overstay, no grace period) Should I try to edit that according to my own circumstances (signs are mutually exclusive and misleading)?

The template is designed to be sent "as is" with no deletions, additions or modifications so that you don't inadvertently "shoot yourself in the foot" by giving away the driver. The idea is to get a POPLA code.

    But not from UKCPM!

If you want to change the template then remove the bits that don't relate to your case but no adding anything that says who was driving!

No point in adding anything. Do you think you might be able to get them to say "OK, you're right. We made a mistake and will cancel your invoice"?

As one of our regular posters here often says "you are not dealing with John Lewis you know".

It is widely thought that PPCs don't bother to read appeals, but if they do, some will recognise the MSE forum appeal and put your case in the 'too difficult' pile.
  • Hope you have photos of all the contradictory signs.

Just in case the scammers change/remove before any court proceedings.
