Morning all. Hugs for those who need them.

Had a lie in this morning. First job was clearing up after a dog, I'm not even sure which one. They both looked guilty.

Having first cuppa of the day and will do some essential paperwork before breakfast.

Hugs to dancemum, LW, Mrs MP, Jojo, and anyone else who wants/ needs a hug xx

Mount Washmore is back :( Oh well, it was nice while it lasted. I've changed the towels in the bathroom, plus there are tea towels and yesterday's clothes. Hey ho - that's why it's called Mount Washmore!!!

Work all week as usual - with one eye firmly fixed on the Bank Holiday weekend ahead :T I'll [STRIKE]try and[/STRIKE] do a little fluttering each evening … teeny tiny steps count just as much as giant's strides ;)

    Take care

  • Morning all,
    Doing my best as always.
Lots of troubles around still for many of you. Thoughts, prayers and virtual hugs abound.

    This morning I have:
Taken dry washing off the airers
    Hung up one load
Wmx1 (next job is to hang it out)
Done a food shop (we were out of milk and it's a small list this week, so only took me 20mins to go to Ald1 and back.)
    Breakfast decluttered.
    Dw on.

    Still to do:
    Hang wet washing up
Put all dry washing away where it lives (including stuff that hasn't been put away from being away)
    Empty dw when it pings
    Make tea.
Tidy round every room in the house.
    Some gardening.
    Something fun with Pickle.

    Morning all

Pigpen - breathe... sit down with a cuppa and write a list... and do one thing at a time.
    (((Hugs))) to dancemum.
Extra big (((hugs))) to all Flykids doing SATs - especially asb's DD - or GCSEs.
    Hope Jojo is OK.

    Definitely!

    Today I basically need to
    - back up all computer files
    - spend half and hour in the kitchen and DR (mostly cleaning fridges and windows)
    - find a "lost" file on my PC (or maybe I never set it up for this tax year, in which case I must do so - not a big job)
    - do a food shop
    - get out in the garden as much as possible
    - do as much as possible of the church Gift Aid claim
    - go to the Old Wives' group this evening: we have owls coming to visit, so I must remember to take photos of everyone ;)
    - arrange coffee with a friend later this week

    See you later x

    Thanks Natty!

    Morning all :hello:

DS has gone off to school early so he can get some revision in this morning before his first A-level exam. He was stressed so much yesterday he kept falling asleep, twitching like crazy and biting everyones head off so I took him out for a few hours to walk around and play Pokemon with our friends (there was a 3 hour event on so lots of us met up). He seems much calmer now so I'm hoping he doesn't panic when sat in the exam room. He's got this (predicted grades are A*) and as long as he doesn't have a full blown melt down I know he'll be fine....doesn't stop me worrying though so I've promised him his favourite tea when he gets in :rotfl:

Good intentions over the weekend didn't pan out. So although DS cleaned upstairs on Saturday, downstairs leaves a lot to be desired. My sleep pattern is shot again so I was awake at 4.30am. Gave up at 5.30 and got up. I'm having a "scruffs" day where I don't plan on leaving the house so I got stuck in straight away. I have 2 wash loads of sofa throws already out on the line and the third has just finished. I'm trying to get all the dogs bigger cuddly toys washed this morning so they've got all day on the line to dry.

All the dailies are done, I've dealt with washing that was left on the airer overnight and created a nice ironing pile for DS to do tomorrow ;) I've also had the food slicer out and thinly sliced 800g blocks of cheese x2 and a 500g chicken salami thing and divided it 3 ways so we're sorted for sandwich stuff for the next 3 weeks. I've made dentist appointments for DS and myself, and I'm just working my way through all the emails in my inbox which I've pinned to action later :o I'm getting there slowly. I have a couple of phonecalls to make today as well but one of them depends on me getting something on the computer done first.

However I am sick of sitting at the computer (been here for over an hour already) so I'm going to go do some jobs in the kitchen from the list once I've hung this list out.

    Good morning :D

Thanks for the list Natty - I'm in! DH is off this week, so hoping he will get some jobs done as well :)

Well, I have already crossed one thing off the list - my fridge is shiny, sweet smelling and completely empty!! We have some food stuffed into a tiny freezer and 2 tiny fridges that i will have to transfer over later, after the new one has been switched on! (need to wait 6 hours....) We will also need to do a big shop as we have been running everything down for the last couple of weeks! I'm looking forward to having a proper meal rather than odds & sods from the freezer! :o There were lots of sharp intakes of breath from the delivery guys this morning, along with comments of 'taking the door off', and 'just leave it here' I pretty much ignored their comments and kept out of the way :D Needless to say, they got it in, without the removal of any doors!! :rotfl: Unfortunately, they have damaged the hall flooring, which I didn't notice until after they left!! it looks a bit better after using a hairdryer and standing on it (vinyl flooring). Hopefully it will settle.

We now need to clean up - the house is a mess!! I also want to get some compost for the allotment, and there is always paperwork! I feel a bit overwhelmed tbh :( And we are away at the weekend for the Edinburgh Marathon Festival!

Ok - that's enough procrastinating! I need to get up and find my get up and go!! (((hugs))) to those that need them, esp Dancemum, JoJo and even you Pigpen!!!

Back again after a much longer HHC than planned :rotfl:If it's gone it's done :D I've cleaned the windows inside and out, cleaned the top of the cupboards (only a couple so doesn't take long but best bit was finding a sealed packet of chocolate lollypops from Easter :D) as well as scrubbing the sink/drainer/washing up bowl after doing another batch of dishes. Wash load 4 has nearly finished. I've sliced up some cakes I bought reduced so they could go in the freezer. Just going to tackle the rest of the food cupboards/fridge/freezer while I still have some cleaning cloths left.

Right, on with the rest of the jobs. I'm hoping to get all the list done today except the filters, but I might be putting those in tonight to soak overnight.

I'm in myself to do a little bit of flying today... So far I've decluttered:
    • Old ink cartridges (changed to new ones on printer)
    • 5 cups of tea
    • Made the bed
    • Washed up breakfast things
    • Printed off PIP guide

I need to get myself into gear today/tomorrow as I've got my PIP form to fill in and send off on Wednesday/Thursday. Thankfully I've got copies of all medical records from my new surgery, and copies of old filled in forms/letters etc. So it won't be too bad filling it in thankfully...

I'm off into hospital on Thursday for an op so not sure if I'll be flying next week or not. To tell you the truth I'm scared about the op as it could be a biggie depending on results. Plus it got rushed thorugh a bit quick for my liking if you ask me. Exactly a month to the day from seeing the consultant to operation.

Hugs and love to everyone that needs it, even though I haven't posted as much as I want to I am thinking of you all.

  • below are my updates since I posted this morning. I am sooooo tired I could just have a snooze now....

    Still to do:
    [STRIKE]Hang wet washing up
Put all dry washing away where it lives (including stuff that hasn't been put away from being away) [/STRIKE] there is still a little bit left on the line drying. When it's dry I must put it away straight away.
    [STRIKE]Empty dw when it pings[/STRIKE]
    Make tea.
Tidy round every room in the house. feel like I'm fighting a losing battle here.
    Some gardening.
Something fun with Pickle. hubby taken him to the park.

    Extras done
    Sorted through Pickle's wardrobe again
    Charity shop bag in boot
Bag of stuff for friend sorted
Item listed for sale on fb
Arranged for someone to come and purchase said item tomorrow (had 5 enquiries, should have listed it for more money)
I've accepted a day's supply for Wednesday (think of the money, think of the money.....)
Sorted through the kitchen food cupboards and the cup/coffee cupboard, only a coupe of bits flung, but better than nothing.

    Next job: swallow a frog.

    Wish.
