We have disabled kids but turned down child DLA.
Have you requested the Mandatory Reconsideration for the DLA?

Were you previously claiming DLA for a child and have recently been refused?

Is the reason for the tax credits overpayment because you were previously claiming the disabled child element in your tax credits?

Just because we were turned down dla doesn’t mean our kids don’t need full time care.

We don’t have any savings, and it’s looking like this is the last month we can pay our full rent, I will just pay whatever is left from now on and see how long it takes for us to get evicted :(

Did you get the rent reduction you asked for?

Savings? a lot of people live hand to mouth when claiming benefits. Not everyone is able to "go out to look for work"
Yes, this is true, but the OP has given no indication that they cannot go out to work, and while they were receiving overpayments they could have been saving.

I I may say, your post seems not to offer any good advice, and just looks to be argumentative. Are you the OP, or do you know her, and if not why bring up people who can’t look for work?

Why would i be the other person when my name is clearly poppy? No, i'm not the OP and no, i do not know them.

I defended the OP because they have disabled children and may not be able to go out to look for work because of the children. I wasn't being argumentative just logical in my thinking and it's definitely not easy on low income.

26k a year is MORE than enough to live on. However you do say 'we' is there another working age person in the house?
