i have bought an ipod shuffle, i have put music from cd onto my pc using windows media player. how do i get it from my pc onto my ipod??

get itunes to scan for tracks, of just rip again using itunes

Itunes won't recognise the tracks you have in media player - you need to get them into itunes.

Windows Media Player (WMP) and Apple's iPod are pretty much oil and water.

If your files you've created in WMP are in .wma format, you'll need to convert or re-rip them into a file format the iPod supports - MP3 is the most universal file type for audio and can be done in in WMP, but you're better off using iTunes.

I don't think it will store .wma format on your shuffle but I'm not sure. MP3 works fine though.
