New property, no electricity bill.
Hi,
I have purchased a flat and I have not received an electricity bill, I have been in contact with the major suppliers and they do not know either as they acted confused on the phone. They did ask what serial number was on the meter and if its this *****- they will create an account for me to pay. I am unable to gain access to the meter as it's a locked door, Whose responsibility is it to check this serial number?
Many Thanks.

It's in your own interest to get the details.
Talk to the maintenance engineer/freeholder to get a key.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -
As above .
New owner you are in a deemed contract with the existing supplier. On moving in you register with them and are then free to move .0
