The nurse in question cannot yet get a parking space at the hospital and it is costing her £3500.00 per year to just go to work.

In the scheme of things that is not too bad. lot.

A season ticket from Reading to London costs c@ £5.400, car parking, about £4,000. Pricey for a 23 minute journey.

I guess that £3500.00 is not too bad for London but a lot for the West Midlands. I doubt that this nurse was doing a five day week. More likely two days on and then two off.

One thing that I have noticed since I have been posting on this board is that I have not seem many claims for Nottingham City Centre. I wonder if that is because they have a very good tram system with free park and ride. Much cheaper than parking in the city centre. The trams go quite a long way out of the city and a day ticket only costs a couple of pounds.

    Further to my post #1

    Received a reply from Sainsbury's

My email went straight over their head so I guess they are now using the copy and paste reply that Tesco's send out

New song suggestion for Mike Coupe ....

Thank you for your e-mail to Mike Coupe which has been received into our Executive Office. Mike has asked me to personally respond to you on his behalf.

Thank you for getting in touch regarding the car park at our Bracknell store.

Car parks which are managed by Horizon or Euro Car Parks are all owned or leased by Sainsbury's and we set the rules for these car parks.

We do have a number of stores where the car park is not owned by Sainsbury's (e.g. shopping centres or adjacent Council car parks) and in those cases, we will usually (but not always) be unable to assist with customer complaints about the car park or management of it.

Customer satisfaction is of paramount importance, so we understand how crucial it is that enough parking spaces are made available.

Please be reassured that it is never our intention to give you cause to complain and that we are only doing our best to take a responsible approach.

We do, however, appreciate your feedback and have passed your experience on to the relevant departments.

They will be able to take this on board when they next review the car parks at our stores.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

    Yours sincerely

To be fair thats got to be one of the worst bits of feedback ive ever seen.

I mean it reads like, 'you do something i dont like but overturn that decision at the store i use so your not as bad as tesco down the road'.

You talk of millions of people who have 6 year old sons whose ex partner pays no maintenance and who are on tax credits. I suspect the number is nearer to 12 people than 'millions'.

You did well to get the courtesy of a reply in my opinion.

I'm going to guess that you're new to the world of PPC scum???

Scam, blood, sharks and scum are words that might be seen by some as emotive. However anyone who spends any time at all looking at the PPC scumcos will indeed see they are also highly accurate and appropriate for business practices that verge on fraud.

Make no mistake, people are suicidal over private parking scammer aggression. I met such a lady myself at Tesco last week and rescued her from this scam.

A family were made homeless due to the actions of an unregulated private parking scammer, and it wasn't even their car.

People are getting CCJs and their credit scores smashed because of these companies.

Staff at Cardiff hospital have been hit by thousands of pounds each in charges, forcing some of them to leave and others to declare themselves insolvent.

Disabled motorists have been victimised because these companies refuse to allow them extra time, in breach of the equality Act.

One company was recorded telling their operatives to give motorists at a hospital cancer ward, "a good hammering."

They have been caught lying in court, and during the appeals process. One company changed the signage during an appeal process to help their case.

The actions of these companies is disgusting and our MPs have called them bloodsuckers, cowboys, and like putting Dracula in charge of the blood bank.

Tens upon tens of thousands of people are being taken to court every year by these scammers.

There are only two places in the world where a person can be found liable for the actions of a motorist on private land by a private company, and that is England and Wales. No other country in the word allows a private entity to make someone who may not even have been in the car liable in court.

Anyone who thinks the private parking industry is not a problem in this country has not done their research.

It was thought that when the clampers were stopped in their tracks, that the victory had been achieved. Look where we are now - in a significantly worse position.

We will still be here next year, the year after and many thereafter, a few small-fry scalps under our belt, but with the big players stronger, more resilient and much less easy to defeat.

Beware the phenomenon of unintended consequences.
