Its caused by a build up of protein in the water. Protein skimmers are available but expensive. A more cost effective solution is change some of the water or use an anti foam pond treatment such as;

will it go on its own0

Not really, water changes or other methods of removing it. Grow something in the water.
I grow watercress on my pond. At this time of year it grows like crazy.
A good summer and i can pull a carrier bag of watercress out every week or 2. Perfect for the compost.
Protein from the food and more active (hungry) fish so more waste, but they could be spawning also. Lots of protein in the spawn which will get eaten if there is nowhere safe for it.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
