Financial ombudsman adjudicator has found in my favour

in Budgeting & bank accounts
Basically, the bank messed up my account and offered me 400quid as compensation. I took it to the FO and the adjudicator said they felt a payment of 800 was fair, the bank made an offer via the ombudsman of 800 and I accepted

This was on the 14th and the FO has said the bank have 4 weeks to correspond to me/make the payment.

Has anyone any experience of this and can give me a realistic time frame? I initially thought it would be done pretty quickly, but now three days have came and gone and still no word or payment from the bank!

    Hopefully not, the timescale for that seems to be about 30-40 years.

    What makes you think that the timescale provided by the FOS isn't realistic? I'd expect it to take closer to the 4 weeks than to your frankly optimistic 3 days.

    Why are you getting impatient after 3 days when the Ombo told you the bank has 4 weeks?

    I would expect 1.5-2 weeks - or the very last day of the deadline quoted (or just after).
