Dealings with CEDR??

Hi everyone,
Just wanted to ask if anyone has dealt with the organisation CEDR regarding their dispute resolution scheme. We have bought a new home with Persimmon which has turned into a minor catastrophe with them not completing on time, terrible service etc. etc.
We are now at the stage where I have put my case together to send to this service but I am having reservations due to the reviews that they have on Trustpilot and Google. Most of the reviews are for airline companies and not home builders but wanted to know if any member here has used this service in line with the consumer code of practice for home builders?
Any information would be great.

Persimmon haven't the best reputation amongst house builders. Are there still snagging items which haven't been fixed or satisfactorily fixed.If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0

CEDR are a reputable organisation.
Dispute resolution organisations tend to get very bad reviews because something has always gone before they get involved. People are always upset if they lose their case - even if their case was nonsense.0 -

Yes I thought as much also as people will always be disgruntled if things don't go the way they hope with a dispute.
@lincroft1710 - These were not so much snags as they hadn't completed the build on time leaving us to 'move in' with no gas, electricity, flooring, plumbed toilets etc. As a consequence they were in breach of the consumer code of practice. I have evidenced 3 other breaches that they have made in line with the code so we have a strong case but just hope that we get the right support from this organisation. It is £120 to submit the case to them.0 -
Builders not completing the build by the original estimated date is quite common. In these cases, usually the moving in date is put back, rather than moving in to an unfinished house.
How long did you have to wait between moving in and the house being completed?
I would very carefully check your contract with Persimmon regarding what it says exactly about the date the house was expected to be completed.If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0 -
I agree with the CEDR trustpilot reviews that rate as them 'poor'/1 star. I had a solid case for an issue with a chartered surveyor and yet the adjudicator decided the company did not demonstrate any shortcomings, which is shocking given the nature of the oversight. The rationale provided by the adjudicator was full of holes and can say with certainty that my case was not reviewed fairly.0
