Since Chip has stopped DD facility all transactions appear as "purchase" on the statements. I wonder whether this "purchases" will be counted as "debit card spending" for rewards purpose?

Have you asked Chip and/or the Co-op?0

But my guess is that CPAs don't count.
Do you guess this based on these words from the COOP T&Cs?As an Everyday Rewards customer, you will earn Rewards if you meet all of the criteria set out in the Everyday Rewards terms and conditions. The table below contains details of the Rewards.

...........
Debit Card Rewards
5p for every payment made using any debit card or debit card details which are linked to the account nominated for the Everyday Rewards Scheme, up to a value of £1.50 per calendar month.0 -
Luckily I've got a working Post Office Online Saver which has a weekly direct debit set up, and it lets me do a manual one if a weekly one might not make it into a particular moth due to bank holidays etc.I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?0

Right, because it's much better just to guess than to ask the people who would actually know. :doh:0

Because "the people who know" usually want me to call during the office hours, to clear the security, then keep me waiting, read from the script, and never able to explain the reasoning behind their answers.
