    Hi,

This sounds like an expensive adventure. Personally I would not pay 1.27% fees for an funds account be it actively managed or not. I wonder, what are the dealing charges if they buy or sell funds/shares on your behalf? My concern would be that these guys keep "rebalancing" the book so meticulously that the real rate of return converges to a big fat zero after inflation. That's just my cynical view of the financial world.

I share your view. For my financial adviser over the last 14 years I've used the accumulated wisdom of MSE and its contributors and never paid a financial adviser; adding my own common sense and odd clever ideas I've come up with. Stoozing, switching, chasing best interest rates, bits of compensation here and there, referrals, matched betting (now virtually on its last legs), making every penny work for me. And I'm now in a position I couldn't have dreamed of 14 years ago.
