Discretionary trust

A solicitor drew up the trust for me for my disabled daughter he told me to set up a trust account which I’ve done and to get independent financial advice, as to investing the trust money, the advisor had no products that would be suitable so I visited my local branch of Barclays who the trust account was with they told me to invest it I’d have to take it out of the trust and invest it in my name which seems to defeat the object of the trust, the financial advisor suggested contacting the trust department at Barclays direct but I’ve got no contact details can anyone tell me any?
