Travel Insurance that doesn't cover ALL flights?!

I agree with you. I would have thought "worldwide" cover would mean exactly that.

Your first course of action should be to get a copy of the policy wording and read it to see what it says.

The norm would be to cover just your travel between home and a single destination, as above if you're doing other travelling and need cover for that then you'll need a more specialist policy.

I booked it in three separate journeys, because no airline could offer my itinerary.
Air Malta between MLA and LHR
British Airways between LHR and BOS
Spirit between BOS and BWI.

I'll keep you all updated as to what happens.

It would NEVER have occurred to me that this would be an issue - I would have assumed (!) all flights were covered
