Let's hope that certain networks (Vodafone was the worst) don't continue saying what their rate is to Europe, but then charge 3 or 4 times as much as that to call Guernsey Jersey and Isle of Man.0

Maybe that’s because the rules relate to calls to the EU?
Calls to non EU countries will not be controlled by the regulations.====0 -

I know that, but if a firm's marketing says calls to Europe, without specifying EU, then customers might be surprised to find the Channel Islands and Isle of Man don't count as either Europe or other +44 calls.0 -

Though in Vodafone’s defence (which is really difficult to do) they specifically show the CI and IOM separately (in red).====0 -
Does this cap apply to calls to UK numbers? I thought that PAYG domestic call costs had soared way above this in recent years? Be weird if it's cheaper to call Prague than Portsmouth!0

I've been caught by this before.
Texted a standard UK mobile number. Turns out that number was in Jersey. Unless you know the area codes for their mobiles, you would've never considered this was an international call.
The Channel Islands should either get their own country code, or be included as UK calls. The current situation is farcical.0 -

No, the EU can’t make regulations to enforce something domestic.
Calls to UK numbers aren’t included.====0
