Low cresit limit and credit report

Hi,

I have a few credit cards with large credit limits. In my recent applicatiom I was offered a lower credit limit. I am thinking to leave rhe account open now because credit check has already been done.

Wondering what is an effecf on credit report when all cards have high credit limit but a recent card has a lower lomit?

Rolls the dice....


Your credit potential maximum will go up. BAD.
Your utilisation will go down. Good (also make sure individual card utilisation is low).
Other stuff depending on how the dice roll. (you really did not give much information, eg. define high and lower limits, what card and what other cards, but in the end it does not matter much unless you want to achive something for some reason, which you also do not mention).

None that I can think of.
When you say lower limit what do you mean? Do you mean that you were given a ridiculously low limit or just that the limit was lower than on your other cards?
